L'Eau du désert (Water from the Desert) is a non profit organisation.
It started in October 2005 to help the people of the oases in South East Morocco to maintain and restore their Khettaras so that life in the oasis villages in this region can continue. Our goals are the creation of small revenue generating units, the creation of a museum showing the cultural and historic value of the Khettaras and assistance with the upkeep of the Khettaras to assure their continuity resulting in sustainable development in accordance with the policy of Human Development Index Program recently launched in Morocco.
